60th Anniversary

$60 for Sixty Giving Campaign

We are here.

For 60 years, Catholic Community Services Yuma has been providing critical services to the Yuma community. Established in 1961, “Catholic Social Services” specialized in counseling services and was the only provider of marriage counseling in Yuma County! Since then, like a diamond in the rough, we have provided a wide array of services from in home attendant care to adoption services—changing with the needs of the community. Today, during this unprecedented time of corona virus, the needs and challenges of our community have grown; but, we are here ensuring our vulnerable neighbors remain housed, fed and cared for with dignity and respect. In honor of 60 years of service, we want to share with you what $60 can provide. Learn more about our programs and join us in our mission to provide help, create hope and serve all. Thank you for your generosity.

What Does Your Gift of $60 Provide?

1 week of home delivered meals and a friendly well-check to a homebound senior 60 years or older.

"...Just as important as having a good meal is knowing that someone will be coming by and knocking on the door, saying hello, and simply being a presence in her life. Renee says that she considers herself very fortunate and blessed to have her meals delivered. She doesn’t drive and is unable to do her own grocery shopping. So, the meals make a difference; and they are delicious."

4½ hours of respite care for a loved one
including an individualized care plan and RN supervision.

"His first day at Daybreak, Charlie showed up using a walker. Within 3 weeks, Maryann could tell the difference—he looked brighter, was laughing and looking forward to coming. Best of all, he was no longer using the walker."

1 night of emergency shelter for a victim of domestic violence, their children, and even their pets.

"The day I decided to escape my abusive relationship, I left home with 3 children, one suitcase, and a backpack for each of us. No plan. No money. After a visit to the emergency room, we found ourselves at Safe House where my family was welcomed in and provided with everything that we needed--shelter, food, clothes; but most of all, the resources and support to get back on track."

Affordable counseling services for individuals, couples, families and children.

"When Yakima decided it was time to focus on healing, she attended counseling services at Catholic Community Services and made positive progress in her treatment goals. Her Counselor was able to provide her with the support she needed to safely move forward. Yakima closed successfully from her counseling services, reporting, “I feel like the old Yakima again.”

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” (Matthew 25:35-36)
